I'm Harvest, my experience with beneficials is parsnips are very excellent.
I see many of the best beneficial insects visiting my parsnips flowers,
and so I recommend parsnips flowers for the attraction of beneficial insects.
They're also beautiful - look at them here with roses.

Parsnips bloom in their second year.  However, you can attain flowers like this in just one year.
Parsnips roots, as they are sold in the produce section at the store, and plant them two feet apart.
Parsnip roots like kind of like white carrots, are sold in bags in the store, just like carrots.
Six such parsnips planted amongst roses gave me these roses and parsnip flowers together.

Harvest first began gardening alongside her beloved grandmother as a young child. Grandmother’s garden embraced diversity and organics way before those themes became a trend.  In the years since that time, Harvest has made and worked in many gardens, both personal and professional. She is the author of the herb book  Sacred Smoke and Food Security & Sustainability For The Times Ahead.
